UAE shifts all schools to distance learning this week

The Ministry of Education UAE has announced that all students, teachers, and administrative staff across public and private schools, nurseries, and universities will move to remote learning from Tuesday, May 5 to Friday, May 8, 2026.

This decision comes as part of precautionary measures to protect the safety and wellbeing of the education community. All classes and operations will be conducted online during this period.

Authorities confirmed the situation will be reviewed on May 8, with the possibility of extending distance learning if needed.
