“Fine of Dirham 500 for littering in public places” – Dubai Municipality.

Dubai Municipality launched a pilot program for AI-powered smart cameras on waste collection vehicles to catch littering and illegal dumping, issuing fines up to AED 500, as part of its Smart Waste Management framework to improve cleanliness and support sustainability goals. 

The project falls within Dubai Municipality’s efforts to support the Dubai Integrated Waste Management Strategy 2041, enhancing the sustainability of public cleanliness and quality of life, and reinforcing the emirate’s position as a leading global city in sustainability and innovation.
