UAE announces Green Pass protocol for government departments

The UAE has adopted the green pass system for entering all federal government employees and visitors in all the 7 emirates of the country.

Effective January 3, 2022, entry to these departments is restricted to people who have received two doses of a UAE-approved Covid-19 vaccine and booster shots (if eligible).

A negative PCR test result is needed every 14 days to maintain the green status on AlHosn app.

The Covid safety protocol is applicable to both employees and residents seeking federal government services.

Those who are exempted from vaccination on medical grounds will need to take a PCR test every seven days to keep their green status active, while children aged under 16 will not be required to undergo any Covid tests.

The ministry stressed the importance of taking the booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines according to the approved national protocols.
