16 DEAD, 9 INJURED AS MASSIVE FIRE BREAKS OUT IN DUBAI’S RESIDENTIAL BUILDING

Massive fire broke out in Al Ras, Dubai on Saturday afternoon, leaves 16 people dead and at least 9 others injured.
Investigations showed that lack of compliance with building security and safety requirements caused the fire.
The deceased are reportedly natives of India, Pakistan, Nigeria and Sudan.
The fire broke out on the 4th floor of the building in the Al-Ras neighbourhood around 12:35pm on Saturday, April 15.
An electrical short circuit could have caused the blaze, preliminary reports indicate.
