WORKING HOURS FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR FOR RAMADAN 2024

UAE has announced reduced working hours for public and private sectors for Ramadan 2024.

According to UAE authorities, the official working hours for ministries and federal authorities will be from 9am to 2.30pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 9am to 12pm on Friday.

Additionally, entities have been granted the flexibility to permit remote work on Fridays during Ramadan, with certain guidelines in place.
However, this flexibility is capped at 70% of the total number of employees within the entity.
These adjusted working hours apply to both fasting and non-fasting employees.

For the private sector, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has announced that employees in the UAE will also have their work hours reduced by two hours throughout Ramadan 2024.
