Expo2020 Dubai records over 5 million visits in first 2 months

Expo2020 Dubai is a world Expo, currently hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. Originally scheduled for 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021, it was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite being postponed, organizers kept the name Expo2020 for marketing and branding purposes.

Number of Visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai has reached more than 5.66 million in just 2 months.
The mega-event has received more than 5,000 government officials and hosted over 10,000 events so far.

In addition, 2.2 million trips to Expo have been made on the Dubai Metro.
In terms of pupil visits to the world’s fair, the Expo school programme has attracted close to 250,000 school children over the past 2 months.

More than a quarter i.e 28% of November visitors came from outside the UAE, with the top international visitor countries including India, UK, France, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Germany.

Numbers are expected to rise further with Christmas celebrations and more world-class performances, such as Grammy Award-winner Alicia Keys’ show at Al Wasl Plaza on 10th December, Academy Award-winning composer and musician A.R. Rahman on 22nd December and Broadway superstar Lea Salonga on 25th December.

Expo 2020 Dubai continues to maintains robust Covid-19 measures, ensuring a safe event for all attending.
