Sharjah government announces 3-day weekend

Sharjah government approves changing the week workdays system in the emirate.

The weekly work system becomes four working days from Monday to Thursday starting from January 2022. Accordingly, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will form the new weekend.

Sharjah Government employees will work from 7.30am to 3.30pm on weekdays.

In Sharjah, Friday will be a full-day holiday, in addition to Saturday and Sunday.

The new timings will come into effect from January 1, 2022.
